The Somali Community Centre - (SCC from now onwards) - is a registered charity that provides services for the benefit of its recently arrived refugee community in Camden and the neighbouring inner London boroughs.
SCC evolved from its forerunner- Somali Community Central London (SCCL)-, which was first established in 1986 for ethnic Somalis in the area of benefit. Back then, SCCL was mainly a Sunday group providing Sunday activities at Abbey Community Centre, including cultural and literature events for Somali children in Camden. |
